The Female Voice Project helps women find the meaning in what they’ve lived, uncover the message inside it, and shape stories they can use on stage, in leadership, and in public-facing moments.
We work with women who have something important to say but may not yet know how to say it clearly, powerfully, or in a way that moves a room.

Our approach
We believe your message is not something you have to manufacture.
It begins with what you have lived.
We participants move through:
Experience → Meaning → Message → Story → Stage
Through the story method we uncover what your experiences have taught you, identify the idea you want to stand behind, and shape it into something others can feel and remember.
The process builds more than speaking skills. It gives you a way to understand what you know, trust what you have to say, and communicate it with greater clarity and courage.
PROGRAMS
Christina Dunbar is a writer, performer, storyteller, and facilitator who has spent more than a decade helping women develop their voices, stories, talks, and performance work.
For five years, she worked with PLUS ME Project, teaching storytelling to students, staff, and educators across Los Angeles County. Her work has also included CalMHSA-funded storytelling programming, private story and talk development, and producing live storytelling experiences that have brought hundreds of women to the stage.
Christina has written and performed her own one-woman show in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Boston, and has developed and produced solo shows for women that went on to receive Fringe awards.
Her approach is rooted in meaning-making — helping women understand what their experiences have taught them, uncover the message inside them, and shape that message into work that is clear, emotionally resonant, and ready to be shared publicly.
