SOR is a one of a kind show that is less performance, more artistic truth telling. Each woman comes to the stage to share a story from her life that she is currently grappling with. But this isn't solely about the challenge- it's about what happens when women of all ages and backgrounds search for the power within and express it fully. The SOR cast uses storytelling, movement, and song to transform, reclaim and create beauty from the fabric of their lives.

meet the creator
I became obsessed with women’s voices when I couldn’t find them in the textbooks or history books or religious books that were passed around.
Or rather what I did find was told through the male lens. How to talk, how to pray, how to be productive, how to express, how to THINK- there was no trace of the female soul. Once I was old enough to understand what I needed, I looked for the messages that had been buried. I had to go find the medicine I’d been missing.
And I did.
I found the books.
I found the women.
And they changed me with their truths.
I started creating spaces for women’s stories because our stories have wisdom and voice plus wisdom equals power. Stories aren’t just cute fables to listen to. They are portals that take us into our inner terrain and shape what we see, what we believe, and who we become.
